Dec. 3, 2011 A passenger headed to Belgium (Newark Liberty Airport) tried to bring five inert hand grenades on the plane. TSA says that explosives experts at Newark Liberty Airport discovered five grenades in a passenger’s bag.
The TSA said the grenades were determined to be “inert” and that the Belgium-bound passenger surrendered her Grenades to officials. There was no impact to airport operations, the agency said.
